Affiliate and Link Disclosure

This page explains how MudderElla links to the companies it writes about, and whether it is paid when you click.

What is true today

The links to Hydrow, Ergatta and Bowflex are affiliate links. If you click one and then buy from that company, MudderElla may earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and the price you see is the company's. The site is not owned by, sponsored by or employed by any of the three, and it has not been given a machine, a payment or a say in what a page says.

Each link opens a short address on this site, which forwards you to the company's page through an affiliate network. The network's tracking, not this site, records that the visit came from here. The Hydrow link lands on Hydrow's rower comparison page, the Ergatta link on Ergatta's compare-rowers page, and the Bowflex link on the Revolution Home Gym page on bowflex.com, as read on 2026-11-02.

Those three companies are the ones with links because their rowers and home gym are the machines the site reads most closely. Being linked is not an endorsement and does not change what a page says about a product, including who it is wrong for.

Who is named but not linked

Concept2, Peloton, WaterRower, Merach, Sunny, Echelon and other brands appear by name in plain text where a comparison needs them. They are never linked from the body of a page. Where a page names a source, such as a maker's FAQ or a health body, the address is listed in that page's Sources section so you can check it yourself.

What stays the same

  • Every page that carries an affiliate link has a short disclosure before the first one.
  • Affiliate links are marked with the link attribute that tells search engines they are sponsored.
  • Prices, criteria, and the "wrong for" lines on each product are written by the same method as for a machine with no link, such as the Concept2 RowErg, and a company that pays is held to the same standard.
  • Where a company's own pages disagree with each other or with an outside source, the page says so, even when that is unflattering to a company that pays.

If a page ever carries a paid link without a disclosure, treat that as an error and do not rely on the page.

How the site makes its comparisons is on the about page. The terms of use cover third-party links, and the privacy policy explains what happens when you click through to a company's website.
